Keyword Keg is a robust and intuitive keyword research suite from Axeman Tech, the makers of the popular Keyword Everywhere browser plug-in. It’s suitable for everyone from freelancers to an SEO agency. With Keyword Keg, you can get results for 11 different APIs, and Keyword Keg will find your keyword in many different Search engine results pages (SERPs).
Features
Keyword Keg builds its suite around five different ways of importing or discovering keywords, and the metrics and filters that allow you to compare, winnow down, and zoom into your findings. The result is comprehensive information that proves to be indispensable for search engine optimization.
Tools:
Find Keywords: Enter upwards of 30 keywords at a time.
Import Keywords: You can either copy and paste keywords, or upload keywords in a CSV or Microsoft Excel file.
Related Keywords Tool: Discover the keywords Google highlights at the bottom of its search results. You will have access to all the same metrics for related keywords as you did for regular keywords.
People Also Ask For Keywords Tool: Known as the PASF Tool, this shows you the keywords in the “people also ask for” portion of the Google search results for your term.
Merge Words Tool: This lets you search for multiple keywords at once and mix and match keywords to see how various combinations influence search results.
Metrics:
Volume: See how many people are searching for your keyword every month in your country of choice.
Cost Per Click (CPC): The amount you’d pay for a keyword in your pay-per-click (PPC) campaign.
On-Page SEO difficulty: See if the top 10 results have been optimized by having the keyword in their title, description, headings, etc.
Off-Page SEO difficulty: See how robust the backlinks are and how strong the domain authority is for the top 10 results.
SEO Difficulty: Synthesized from the On-Page and Off-Page scores, this metric tells you how challenging it would be for a new website to rank for a given keyword. The lower the score the more likely you’d be to rank for your search term.
Click-Through Rate (CTR) Scope: This is the measure of how much traffic top search results get.
Keyword Power: his is a measure based on a keyword score in the fields of monthly volume, CPC, SEO Difficulty, and CTR Scope. It allows you to compare things.

How It’s Used
Keyword Keg is easy to use! You start by typing your keyword into the search bar. Then you select the countries, APIs, and result types. Once you get your results, you can sort by volume, CPC, CTR scope, etc. You can also filter out results that aren’t helpful, like if their PPC is prohibitively high. When you’re done, you can export your results, copy them, or add your keyword to a list.
Use Cases
Buyer Intent: When you use the Buyer Intent feature, Keyword Keg adds words that users would input if they were hoping to make a purchase. This is useful for e-commerce companies because you’ll be able to see which keywords direct more traffic to your site. You can then filter by offsite and onsite difficulty to alter your PPC campaign to include competitive keywords.
Product Info: When you use the Product Info feature, Keyword Keg adds words associated with product reviews so that you can more effectively target users who are past the stage of wanting to buy and are on track to make an informed purchase. When combined with Buyer Intent searches, this feature can help move traffic to your e-commerce business and help you seal the deal using more resonant keywords.
Questions: This feature helps you see what questions people are asking about your keyword. You can then move traffic to your website by answering these questions with your content!
Negative keywords: This allows you to remove particular keywords from your search results. This can be useful so that you can narrow your focus on providing users with products and services you actually offer as opposed to attracting users who are looking for something you don’t do. If, for example, you repair all motorcycles except for antique ones, you can cater your content and PPC campaigns so you don’t end up spending resources to promote something you don’t offer.
Languages & Countries:
Currently, Keyword Keg is only available in English and only services the following countries: Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom & United States. There are plans to add more countries and languages later.
Pricing:
While there is no free-trial, Keyword Keg does have a 48 hour return policy, which serves the same function. Otherwise, pricing ranges from $38, suitable for freelancers, to $762 per month, ideal for SEO agencies. There are also discounts available for yearly subscriptions.
Bottom Line:
When it comes to which keyword suite to choose, you’ll need to simply test things out and figure out what works for you. Sometimes one service doesn’t have the exact tool you need, so you may, as a digital marketer, find yourself using multiple platforms.
